Robotic Vehicles

The Robotic Vehicles series focuses on constructing different types of mobile robots. Each model introduces key mechanical concepts such as differential steering, gearing, and transmission systems, while programming challenges teach how to control motors, use sensors, and optimize movement.
Teachers can use these highly-engaging projects as a step-by-step path into robotics: starting with simple builds and moving towards more advanced programming, all while connecting lessons to real-world engineering and transportation systems.
Lessons available in the Teacher and School plans.
  • extensive introduction illustrated with graphics and animations,
  • detailed instructions for building robots,
  • step-by-step programming guide,
  • useful cross-sections of the construction,
  • access to additional teaching resources.

MAZEBOT
Program a robot to solve mazes using sensors! Watch it navigate complex paths with precision.

Robot designed for: LEGO® Education SPIKE Prime (#45678) and SPIKE programming app: Word Blocks.
FORKLIFT
Can I carry this for you? Forklifts can carry literally tons and they prove their worth every day in almost every warehouse around the world. Your SPIKE forklift will happily help out with any bricks laying around – program it and relax.

Robot designed for: LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime (#45678) and SPIKE programming app.
CLEANER
This robot was born to win. Cleaner loves competition and gladly participates in any robotics match, especially if they involve cleanup challenges. Learn the programming secret to winning a robotics tournament by helping this robot triumph.

Robot designed for: LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime (#45678) and SPIKE programming app.
LINE FOLLOWER
Create a robot that follows lines perfectly! Program it to navigate and stay on track.

Robot designed for: LEGO® Education SPIKE Prime (#45678) and SPIKE programming app: Word Blocks.
POLYGON TRACER
Geometry is a breeze when this unique robot is helping you learn. Build a simple driving robot, equip it with a marke and use a loop with a very precise number of repetitions to make the robot draw regular polygons.

Robot designed for: LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential (#45345) and SPIKE programming app.
POLYGON TRACER
This robot knows geometry like no other. Build a simple driving robot, give it a pen and program it to draw regular polygons, like a pro! Make sure to use the loop with a set number of repetitions in your program.

Robot designed for: LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime (#45678) and SPIKE programming app.
MINI BULLDOZER
What bulldozers and tanks have in common? Can bulldozers execute tasks other than land clearing? Learn more about them while constructing and building a small bulldozer that will tidy up your desk.

Robot designed for: LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential (#45345) and SPIKE programming app.

BUMPER CAR
No obstacle can stop it for a long time. It just bounces back and keeps going! This specialized test robot will show you how to avoid obstacles and what's it got to do with the SPIKE force sensor. You will also discover the trick to controlling a drive base with differential steering.
